Besides the obvious drop in total sound pressure levels (see page 4), some headphones will also give a different sound
signature (frequency response) when used on amplifiers with different impedances even if otherwise similar.
Mostly in the bass department which can 'mask' higher frequencies and thus seem to affect the mids and highs too.
All dependent of the output resistance of the amplifier and impedance characteristics of headphone in question.

The quartet of network-capable audio/video components are the world's first to include AirPlay capability. The feature allows users to easily stream music from their iTunes collections to their Marantz components with just the tap of a finger. It will be available in November via the Marantz website with an optional €49,- firmware upgrade.


Marantz's AirPlay certified products comprise the SR7005 A/V Receiver, AV7005 A/V Preamplifier, NA7004 Network Audio Player/Tuner and Melody Media (M-CR603) Networked CD Receiver.
